Do you sometimes feel like it’s difficult to get through the day? Do you feel low or somehow blocked? Are you at a point in your life where it seems like nothing is changing? These struggles can leave you feeling hopeless, unmotivated, and frustrated.

We all need a place where we can feel safe and validated with our emotions/life transitions. It can be difficult to open-up and talk about life-stressors to a stranger. Sometimes, we can feel unheard or alone, or just need someone who can be a helping, compassionate, and provide a nonjudgmental ear. In therapy, we can mend fractured and fragmented pieces of ourselves that have been damaged by past relationships, and trauma. Together, we can bring out positive change in our lives; we can challenge negative cognitions and dissonance. Together, we can begin the path of healing

My Value of Agency

I believe that we always have choices, although they are absolutely limited by systemic factors. I respect everyone’s ability to choose their own direction for their life.  Given the right tools and supports, as well as patience, consistency, and trust, people can achieve amazing things. My style of therapy is an emphasis on forming a trusting relationship in which clients can experience what it is like to be truly listened to and responded to in a consistently supportive way.

My intention as a therapist is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental, and trusting space where you can arrive as your whole self and be heard, accepted, and supported. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with childhood trauma (emotional, physical, and sexual), grief, body image, depression, anxiety, and relationships. I take an integrative approach that combines here and now behavioral modalities with attachment, emotion, and client-centered—meaning that our work will be tailored to meet your needs, goals, and preferences.

Together, we’ll cultivate tools, skills, and practices to help you live a more meaningful life on a day-to-day basis, while also developing an understanding of the experiences and beliefs that impact your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to support a shift towards greater wellbeing, growth, and regulation.
